Title: 2.0 CDX estate sold - to a genuine eBayer!
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 14 July 2008, 16:24:17
The 2.0 Estate with the extremely poorly engine -

I listed it on ebay. as a non runner, for spares or repairs.

I started the bidding at 1p with no reserve - highest bidder takes it away.

The ad clearly stated non runner, to expect the worst engine wise, and to bring a trailer! It also stated the scratch and the fact it would need a valet if it was to be fixed!

Anyhow, amazingly, the bidding went up to just shy of £250.

I was expecting much much less, so when I saw this I thought oh lord, a joker.

But fair shout the man was good to his word, he turned up this afternoon and collected it with a transporter, paid his money and drove away.

There are SOME good ebayers, afterall!

i weighed in a 2.5 cd omega estate approx 2 months ago. the cats fetched £40 each, the alloys £40 and the remainder of the car minus its gearbox fetched £235. scrap metal is pricey!.its very handy having a scrapyard out back, but the price does rise and fall during the month.
