Got my new clutch master cylinder om Saturday fitted today no probs until I tried to connect feed pipe from gearbox. Pipe connection is to big for it part number 90465488. Delphi number LM49904. Has anyone else had this problem?

Don't mind me... ::)
Misread it as the slave :-[

Its a Delphi LM49904. Cant even use original was a auto and I hate autos >:(

Send it back and buy an alternative one... what is the diameter of the fitting? Suggested is 19mm...
Both ATE and Febi offer reasonably priced alternatives... http://www.allgermanparts.co.uk/default/car-parts/clutch-parts/clutch-control/master-cylinder-61.html :y

.... and I hate autos >:(
cos you 'want to be in control' ....... ::) ::)

Prefer manual. Plus the auto that was in it was terrible and was a 2.2 box. Yea al cylinder getting sent back tomorrow. Master fitted to the car no probs, connected to pedal perfect. But pipe from box wouldn't have it
-
when I put my digital calipers in the hole for that pipe it says 10.9mm??
-
Make a new pipe from the MC down to the next join.
5 minutes work and a couple of quids worth of material.
Quicker than removing the master cylinder too.
-
its a push fitting to the master cylinder. that pipe came with the original box so must have been connected the right master at some point but scrapped it with the car as the clutch master was leaking
-
am I making a back side of myself again. does the fabric covered pipe connect to the master or is there something between? :-[
-
Fabric covered pipe is the gravity feed from the brake fluid reservoir TO the master cylinder :y

Connection FROM master cylinder to gearbox is a push fitting held in place by a spring clip :y

seen somewhere a metal pipe coming from the master to gearbox. a short pipe. should there be something between master and clutch pipe that im missing?
-
Don't know without seeing what you have :-\
