Bloke whos Saab I was in other week said he'd never had any luck with Vauxhalls and they were nothing but trouble and how he'd not have another, hence he'd bought a Saab as they were Swedish and oh so reliable and never any trouble ever.Well this morning on his way to work he blew the engine up.Shouldn't gloat at anyones motoring mishaps, but I couldn't help but feel just a tad smug.

Quite a few of them do that . Someone i knew bough one of those soft top ones and it blew up on the way back from where he bought it from :(

Far better with a good old Swedish car rather than a General Motors car ;D
What year of Saab was it? 1989-2010 perhaps? ;D

Exactly. Not saying that Saab didn't do a hell of a lot of re-engineering of components etc. but doesn't stop a hell of a lot of the components being GM. Unless he happened to be driving a 99, then I suspect his was a Cav/Vectra/Insignia with a hat on. :)

It was a W reg soft top[a 9-3?]

I can only presume that he didnt realise it was a Vectra in a suit...?

He claimed it was pure Saab and built before Vauxhall had any input :o
