Hi all,
Click the link to see the planned Vulcan routes this weekend. You will need to scroll down, then click on the map to enlarge and see the routes clearly. What I do find strange is that it does not come here to High Wycombe, the HQ of the old Bomber Command, now Strike Command.
Old Bomber Harris must be really out of favour ;D ;D

No visit to Lyneham or RWB either .. :( although I expect the proximity to the main UK/US airway overhead does not help .. :(

They seem to have missed the south and certainly the southwest out of the southern route completely!

Fairs fair... It has been present at every airshow down here this summer... Suspect that these latest routes are designed to give as many people a chance to glimpse it as possible, ie away from all the displays ;y

We have certainly been lucky in Bournemouth, but I m not sure it's been to the southwest at all has it?

Came over SLady bitshorpe about 1.10p.m. today people young and old were filming it on their phones etc, even the traffic stopped[on the side roads where I was anyway]as drivers/passengers got out of their cars to film it!

Looking forward to seeing it fly past Farnborough tomorrow. Shame it wont go directly over the house but then I only have to go 5 minutes to get a view and 15 for a fantastic vantage point over looking the Airport :y

I still have a vivid recollection of being in urgent need of Marks and Spencer's when a Vulcan came out of absolutely nowhere when I was on Weymouth pier and flew SO low as to virtually part my hair for me!
Oh the noise - but also oh so magnificent!!!
