Picture of the plug, end on, would be handy to avoid any confusion :y

Unfortunately part number doesn't seem to guarantee plug shape...

I'm going to say it's

the one on the right. Shame, as I'm always on the lookout for the chamfered end one by Siemens.

Good price  :) (about £90 RRP, I think?)

The issue is where it plugs into the loom as there are two shapes of plug, rounded and square... it's a double check, but one worth making ;)

Confirm part no 90540743 is for 3.0/2.6/3.2 and has "oval plug"

Me? I don't know if it'll fit any dbw's. I got it for a 3.0 but don't need it now. It has got the oval plug, or the rectangular one with rounded edges.

Yep, the 'square' plug is very sharp edges, very obvious.  :)

As I understood it, this and the other one (part number 90492061) have the same plug, but the other end has a chamfered end, and made by Siemens. So the issue is that though both the OP's and 90492061 are physically interchangeable, they shouldn't be used, only replace like-for-like  :)

Which states this is useful for the DBW cars as well as later 2.5V6s, too, if that helps get geoffr70 a sale  :y

Wasn't disagreeing or trying to 'steal your thunder' old chap, simply offering a link which repeats/reinforces what you said. Like 'I'll second that' type of thing  :y
