Title: Locking problem.
Post by: KSR on 19 October 2015, 09:23:04
either i'm really screwed in the head or there's sum ting wong  :(

I think the omega is unlocking its self. I've gone out to the vehicle three times over the past week or so and I almost 100% sure i've locked it.
I go round to the vehicle and find it unlocked....

Is this a known issue at all?  Or have I lost any remaining marbles I have,

Cheers

It can happen. Is it a recent thing? Any new masts or electrickery locally? Any neighbours with an older Volvo S/V 40 :-\

How you locking it, key, fob, is it unlocking straight away and your walking away without checking?, could be iffy micro switch on the lock mech or the much needs adjusting, could also the Ing. barrel is not fully popping out.

What happens if you dead lock it everytime?

With the fob. Just pressing the button once it locks the pins go down and to be honest I dont really think anymore of it till i go out the next day and find it open...  doesnt do it instantly...

You havn,t got any old oil drilling rigs round your way have you? :D This is what was causing this problem in Lowestoft Suffolk a few weeks ago. Someone left a switch open on the rig and a number of owners of different makes had this happen. Might take some tracking down if the fault isn,t actually on the car itself. Best of luck.

Ok so weekly report.  Seems to be ok.

Only thing that crossed my mind is that I have recently upgraded the interior light bulbs. I don't think the car is canbus so it shouldn't upset it but just something that popped into my head.

 :)
