Title: Seatbelt Pretensioner Fault
Post by: Jimmy Jerms on 19 October 2015, 12:31:50
The air bag light is on showing a fault. I have a computer program to read the faults and it shows 'Driver Pretensioner High Resistance' Looking in the measuring Blocks it shows the resistance as 6.6 ohms. The passenger side shows 2.2 ohms. Could this be just a wiring fault. If so where do I look. I don't know where the pretensioner is.

The problem is I am due for an MOT and the light just indicates an airbag fault and is a failure.

How soon is the Mot, see below, not suggesting its a fix but might buy you more time to fix it.

Airbag Light On = Fail, No Air Bag Light present = Advisory.  :-X

Unusual to see a pre-tensioner fault like that but do check the wires under the seat as they can get damaged or unplugged when stuff gets rammed under it.
