Hi,
I have tried searching but am unable to find a picture showing the "path" for the auxiliary belt on my Omega. Does anyone have one please as my belt has broken so I have no original to refer to.
Thank you,
Ian

Assuming you have air-con, it will the one in the bottom left.

And the way you do it is to fit the belt to all the pulleys except the tensioner, then using a socket on the tensioner pullet nut, turn it clock-wise to swivel the tensioner towards the centre of the engine until you can slip the belt onto the tensioner pulley.
-
It is much easier to fit the belt around all of the ribbed pulleys, pull on the tensioner and slip the back of the belt over the smooth water pump pulley.
-
Add watch your fingers when putting the belt over the tensioner making sure you've got a good spanner / wrench grip on the tensioner nut.

So:
T = tensioner
GEN = generator/alternator
WP = water pump
CS = crank shaft
AC = air conditioning
PAS = power assisted steering
so what is "G" ? :-\ (and what car had it fitted?)

'G' is/was a Guide / Idler Pulley I believe. :y Not seen one personally though.

Agreed. :y
