 .......

That's what I told my daughter to get for her Fiat because a new key is dealer only at around £200 and her car is a 52 plate Siecento worth bugger all. Obviously she didn't and when she locked her one & only key in the boot .........  :-X

It took the recovery over an hour & a half to get in the first time she did it .............. I took less than a minute when she next did it  ;D ;D

It was just a "what if i lock my only key in the boot thought when i was in tesco carpark moment" Andy.So i just offered the asian chap a fiver to run me a blank off and he did....

You could super glue a transponder to it and it would be a spare key to run the car after a Tec2 meet... It would then just set the alarm off only  :y

Or you could put it on the ring with the 3 button one,Then it will work perfect without a transponder  ;D ;D ;D

Blanks with a transponder are available for under a tenner delivered. Car obviously needs programming to transponder.

Or horseshoe blank with transponder is same price, and fob part about £25+VAT (trade) from dealer. Obviously, still needs programming.

Presumably the fob needs programming to the car via tech 2 as well as the transponder ?

Technically the car needs programming to the fob and transponder. But yes, both fob and transponder :y

I bought a bran new fob but when i tried pressing the buttons it was virtually impossible to press as the buttons/casing were so hard  :(

Pattern ones are, they're really bad. I ended up reverting to a tatty, but 'ok' one I found in a scrappy.

I took the transponder out of my one good key and taped it to the lock barrel in the appropriate place. Then any key cut like the good key would open the door and start the engine. It left the car not immobilised, but who pinches Omegas?

Sometimes, spending 99p is false economy.
