Can we please impose a limit on the size of images used on signatures, there are several cases now where uses have stupid large images in their signature.
It causes problems.
1) as i scroll a page, i have to scroll the signature before i can carry on down the page, this repeats if they comment a number of times on the same thread.
2) i like to browse on my blackberry on the train home, stupid large images in signatures increase load times massivly.
The Duck. Please take note.

Yes a 640x480 signature image is a fcking joke!!! He refuses to delete it.
Yours Jimbob is fine :y
I want a limit around that the size of yours :)

Once the scroll bars get added to an image, then surely thats an indication that the image is too big.

On the "other" forum I used to mod on this is the rule we used for sigs
Signatures - People are here to see content not your signature. For this reason, please keep signature pictures to less than 30K file size and a physical size of 500x150. Text should be no more than 4 lines unless otherwise authorised. Do not use a font size larger than size 3. Text may not contain advertising, unless an authorised trading package is in place. Please contact the Forum Admin Team for details."
Some peoples sig's are getting a little big, I'm not going to start changing peoples sigs as yet but this "may" happen to repeated rule breaches or simply ignoring this request.
We're not going to get ****y over a few K or pixels, but please bear in mind our bandwidth and other peoples loading times

If you use Firefox, get Adblock plus, I'll send you a blocklist and no more sig links and avatars ;)

I feel the size of yours is fine Jimbob789 - it doesn't take time to load and doesn't affect scrolling.
Some images, however, take time to load and also require you to scroll through them before you can continue down the page.
I only use a "3" mobile broadband connection and waste time downloading the same image over and over when I haven't come on to the forum to do so.
I like to read what is in between all the pictures - i.e. the content.
Is there no way of restricting these ridiculously sized images?
PS- Jimbob, could you send me over your block list if I PM you? Ta

The Admins will start modifying those sigs and avatars that do not meet the guidlines.

Many of the proxies, such as that, may mean you hit the forum's protection features....

Tried it but all I get is "Service not available" :(
Seems I am in a bit of a duff area for it.
