Did you not like the idea of getting a Ar35 box and putting it straight in  :-\

I thought removing / installing the box was beyond my DIY skill so was just going for the solenoid change. Unfortunately I think found thrust washer in the small dump so was forced to remove the box anyway! It's been a good learning experience so far, but happy to admit the forum wisdom was correct and a swap would have been quicker!  :-\

Don't worry  :)

Priority 1 is always getting your car back on the road. Sometimes that can involve getting a replacement component as a spare, which you can work on refurbing at your leisure in the shed etc.. meanwhile a 'gets me back on the road' thing can be fitted. Tackling the repair of something critical like an alternator, exhaust, gearbox, that if not mended for work tomorrow morning means a taxi in/bus/beg a lift can cause more aggro than it's worth.   :y

Hope you're sorted soon  :) Plenty of AR25s on here as possible spares donors.

Thank you, its not a disaster - just using the saloon currently. Other than the fact its not LPG that's ok  :y
