Post by: Diamond Black Geezer on 12 November 2015, 12:01:23
Just thought this would be a worthwhile read for you chaps/chapesses...

http://www.carenthusiast.com/ncar0409/omega.htm (http://www.carenthusiast.com/ncar0409/omega.htm)

Full article detailing basically all the changes, including 3,000 of the 8,000 components which were changed, so the FL Omegas were a third all-new, over PFL models  :y Lots of interesting titbits. Enjoy  :)

Often thought about altering mine (PFLs have simply on or off) to have the variable temp settings. No idea how, of course! And the switches are different, of course, which adds another headache.  :)

I've read through it a couple of times, really nice to see the details which otherwise would be forgotten

Thanks DBG, fascinating read. I have always admired the Omega, following the Senator, and have driven them for 20 years. Gordon Brown always chose Omegas as his official cars, so he was not always wrong. He kept us out of the euro too, God bless him.
