Title: Gearshift wobbles over bumps.

2.6 elite estate. I'm guessing the gearbox mount has had it.

Can I swap the good one from my 2.5 soon to be scrapper?

Manual or auto? They are different ;)

Both auto. I have no interest in 'riding a stick' as my colonial colleagues used to say.

Apologies, I realise more info up front would be helpful..

03 2.6 estate
99 2.5 estate

I'm assuming they'll both have AR25 and mountings will be identical, but as I'm away from home im just trying to find out my options

Should be interchangeable then... :y

Quick test to see if it's actually shot is to pop the car onto ramps/decent kerb and push up on the gearbox end of the prop shaft... if it moves noticably then the mount is toast.

Handful of bolts to swap them over, but be sure to support the gearbox properly when you undo it :y

Cheers for that.. I'll be on it next time my time off coincides with daylight and a pause in the monsoon..
