As above. 2006 model. 1.3l
I have code PO170 come up.
Starts fine, pull away and it coughs and splutters. Ok when warm.
Does have a strange surge at light throttle.
Also has silly k&n filter on it. Not by me.
Any idea's peeps.
:-)

Assuming the codes are similar to the facelift Omega
P0170 Fuel trim malfunction (Bank 1)
(or in other words the MAF is shagged due to oil contamination from the K&N) ::)
Unplugging the MAF should make it drivable & confirm the diagnosis........

That's what I was thinking tbh. I will give it a try. Thanks Andy. :y

Assuming that the diagnosis is correct then the engine will run in limp mode with the MAF unplugged.
If you fit a new MAF then the ECU will try to run with the current (incorrect) fuel trims - do you have a code reader with the ability to reset the fuel trims?

got a maxidiag pro MD801.
Not had it long so will have a gander.
