Title: What is wrong with people?
Post by: STEMO on 19 December 2015, 17:29:01
Have they all forgot ton how to drive? Just got back from Liverpool and I've never seen so many accidents in one day. The first one held us up for half an hour and, when we passed it, the (five?) cars were in a right mess. Various shunts all day, blue lights back and forth. Admittedly, conditions were very bad, but half of the journey is 50mph anyway.

I was glad to get home. I think some of them play mario carts too often, they think they have infinite lives.

People get lost in their own little world, forgetting about the dangers around them. They travel too close which hampers any reaction time. Treat everything around you as a potential threat and you get to live another day.
Space is what is wrong with these people, they don't leave enough of it.  :y

Hungover(still drunk?) from Black Friday ?

I don't know what it is like now but when I was younger everyone went out at lunchtime on the Friday and got rotten drunk then "pretended to be working until the office manager said "Ok off you all go, have a good Xmas"

Just imagine the chaos if we get some freezing conditions!

Makes me wonder why manufacturers put indicators on cars anymore because the number of drivers who don,t bother to use them seems, to me, to be increasing alarmingly >:(. Don,t have a clue where half of ,em are going.

I completely agree, and that's saying something considering the make of car that I drive.  ;D ;D

Part of it I think is that people believe their time is more important than the next persons.Do you realise how many miliseconds you can take off your journey time by driving closer to the vehicle ahead than you should? ;D How many times have you left a large enough gap between yourself and the vehicle ahead in order to stop safely if needed only for someone else to come past you and fill the gap? I can't even begin to count the number of times that's happened to me.

Well all I've dealt with today is inconsiderate t0$$er$!!!! All wanting to get where they want to go and stuff everyone else  >:( >:( >:( Poor lady driver brokedown on the M6 today in the roadworks which incorporates the hardshoulder as a running lane. She was absolutely petrified as her car wouldn't move, she was in a dangerous place and had 2 very young children who were visibly upset. As I got to the scene HGV's cars and vans were blasting their horns and giving horrible gestures towards her  >:( >:( >:( I pulled up behind her, lit my car up like a Christmas tree to warn everyone and put on my right arrow >>>>>>> on and had the motorway signs on. Still loads of people drove right up my ar$e within inches and blamed me when they got stuck behind me! Managed to tow her to safety to her relief & couldn't thank me enough.

I know (from experience) motorways are dangerous at the best of times, but in roadworks and a clear breakdown why all the anger? wasn't her fault?

That is another example of peoples unthinking attitude isn't it?Then if/as/when things do go pete tong someone-police/fire/ambulance-has to attend and clean it all up.I think people like Jasonm must have seen more horror stories than I'd care to,and then have to go inform family etc. that someone isn't ever coming home. Now that must be really hard and I'm sure no matter how many times it's done it's something you never get used to.
