It should be illegal to buy a diesel Alfa. ;)

150bhp and 0-60 in 9.3 is quite acceptable coupled with the economy you'll get.

Ah.....we have a pragmatist in our midst. ;)

As said, an Alfa should lift the soul with sonorous song. :D ;D.

Love the colour and style though. :y

Yes...and the problem with a car like that is it will attract all the hatchback engine revvers at the lights. I always liked that particular model........for my missus  :-X

Well it won't be when compared to the mighty 1.4 Astra. :)

I'll wager it sounded good though. :y

Oh it did......it did....yes...oh, I nearly....never mind.
It fell prey to the Alfa disease. The intermittent wipers were once a week, the head lights decided to just point about two feet in front of the car and, apparently, had their own ecu, and the gearbox sprung a leak. No indie would touch it and the nearest dealer was in Harrogate. I got it running as best it would and, on a bright, dry day, I foisted it on some unsuspecting dealer (EH actually) and came away with my first astra, a 57 plate hatchback.

Good on you for that  :y

All the Vauxhall dealerships round here went downhill fast after they bought them out, only interested in car sales and couldn`t give a damn about parts  :-\

Indeed it should.

I had a lovely 156, two litre twin spark, went through fuel like it had a hole in the tank but I never tired of driving it.  ;D ;D

I still hanker after a Montreal.

2.5 litre V8 running on proper fuel only...........and only available as a manual. :y

The 166 looks quite 'fetching' when presented in Vauxhall star silver.

.......as for the red leather interior. ::)

The 164 was relatively easy on the eye for a large saloon.

Looks good mate - if you like it thats all that matters, ignore the comments from those who have little or no experience of that Alfa - just smacks of jealousy IMO ;)
