Have been refitting the rear donut plates to the Special. With all the buggerig about getting things lined up, I'd conveniently forgotten that I had borrowed a front wishbone bolt to use for the other one.
OSF wheel pointing straight ahead, NSF aiming into next doors garden.
Im going to be doing shocks, springs, new wishbones, track rod ends and droplinks anyway... if I carefully remove the wheel and unbolt the bits under tension, there'll be no permanent damage, right? Unless something springs off and breaks my face...

If it's the front bolt that was removed and the rear bolt is still in place, then you've most likely bollaxed the rear bush and possibly topmount... The top mounts are forgiving but the cheaper ones don't seem to like being banged about ime.

If it's the front bolt that was removed and the rear bolt is still in place, then you've most likely bollaxed the rear bush and possibly topmount... The top mounts are forgiving but the cheaper ones don't seem to like being banged about ime.
Was the rear, vertical bolt that was removed, so not too bad to realign. Bushes and top mount getting replaced anyway, before he gets put back on the road. :y
Removed roadwheel, removed lower strut bolts, wiggled the wishbone back in (in a technical fashion), temporarily fitted new bolt, reassembled, wheels now pointing vaguely the same way.
Also a good reminder of why setup is so important - still 5-6mm tread on most of front tyres but the very inside edges are down to the cords!
