Just looking and seen that a breakers where breaking a Vecy 3.2 and looked a the engine it looked to be a total diff to the Omega 3.2.
would one of this fit into a Omega :question
Thanks
-
its cos the vec is front wheel drive
-
Is it just mounted transversely then???
-
Yep front wheel drive and if i recall mounted differently, i.e timing belt would be facing drivers inner wing.
Thats the case with all other Vectras i have worked on that share "similar omega platforms" such as the 2.5 / 2.6`s.
I guess having said the above i will invariably be wrong now ;D

My 2.6 came out of a vectra, didnt' give me many issues.
Had to replace the following:
Sump
Inlet and exhaust manifolds
All ancillaries
Timing belt covers
Engine loom
RWD specific brackets
Engine mounts
Dipstick tube and dipstick
Side by side the bare blocks have no difference :y
this was the only way mine was going to live again, trying to get a v6 2.6 RWD was proving impossible >:(

If that's the case I'd hate to see a job that does have many issues :o
How's the 'Muff? Spent a couple of years living in Stonehouse and working in Estover myself. Still full of Janners I suspect... Nothing changes fast in Plymouth. Apart from the endless sets of traffic lights...
