Title: Car insurance made easy.
Post by: STEMO on 11 January 2016, 10:36:36
Just been on the aviva website. In less than five minutes I had done the changeover for Saturday, our car insured until the deal is done. No change to premium, docs ready to view online in five minutes.
Painless.

There's the old fella again. Won't be long before your spending your weekends tinkering in the shed, or crash helmet on and footle around on your moped. ;D

I wish I had the time to tinker in the garage, somehow I don't think I'll have time for next couple of decades  ;D

Aviva are very good with all that stuff. Also you get approx. £70 off if you go through cashback sites as a new customer, which is why I normally insure with Aviva every other year.  ;)

One of my old mates taught me a tip when his (now 22yr old) daughter was a baby/toddler...  ...wrap them tight in a blanket, and wedge them between some cushions in the shed/garage, then you can tinker to your hearts content. And her parents taught me that strict routine is a one way ticket to a less happy life.

And before the do-gooders kick off, she turned out really well :).  I didn't turn out so bad either, having had a not dissimilar, though maybe more physical punishment, upbringing :)

The Aviva on-line policy management service is first class. I've just added a third vehicle in less than 5 minutes and now have all policy details on-line and available almost more quickly than you (not me) can get onto porn sites.
But cock up the online process and you have to pay an admin. fee and additional premium, it seems, for doing it on the phone. Fair do's I suppose.

Just added business use to the policy with M+S.  Quick, painless and easy.

It seems (some) insurance companies have gotten their act together.
