Hi all,can anyone tell me if this is an air leak or damp. When in park the rev counter wanders from 400rpm to 500 rpm,but in drive when stationary its perfect at 500 rpm.Any ideas please Dean.

Sticky idle control valve most likely...
In drive, the engine is effectively under load, so the ecu fuels it accordingly which steadies it ;)

I think it's connected to the throttle body and plenum, never had a non dbw Omega, but there is a guide for cleaning it ;)

N/s of the upper plenum, silver L shaped cylindrical item with a rubber hose on it held to the plenum by a rubber bracket, un plug the connector remove the hose pull it out of the plenum turn it 90 defy and slide it out the bracket, clean with carb cleaner and a brush and flick it clock and anti-clockwise to make sure the valve is free and not sticking then give it a light spray with lubricating oil then refit and let us know how you got on.
