Title: Genuine MV6 shocks...
Post by: 05omegav6 on 26 January 2016, 16:13:11
Are they still available? Price and p/n required if possible, if anyone has bought some recently...

B4s leak, after about 2.5K miles  >:(

Presume MV6 originals are also Sachs :-\

9192291/9192292 were £88+vat and NLS :'(

Although the oppsing idiott at my local dealer wouldn't tell me the part numbers for cross referencing  >:(

Part numbers relate to V6 LSC fronts :y

Tell me about it :'( annoyingly I have zero comeback on the B4s fitted as although they were brand new, they were part payment for some work on another Omega, so I have no receipt/invoice...

Might be as easy to buy a pair of £29 shocks and treat them as an annual service item ::)

Perhaps even including a fitting kit that works... ::)

Pmsl, well I would if it wasn't so annoying...  It's the fronts...so hopefully not needed, although if your topmounts are past their best, the Pedders HD ones are good value ;)

I've got B4's on two cars - one has done 15K the other 60K on them and no signs of leaks or misting.

I`ll have a look later and see if I can find my receipt for my MV6 dampers, but to be honest mine only lasted 13 months and maybe 6k and yes they`re made by Sachs  :y

Personally I wouldn't buy another pair.

As it happens I have a brand new pair of front B4`s collecting dust  ;)

Genuine from Balance...

Handling has been dropping off over the last two or three weeks, so will redo the front end from scratch...
