Just thought I would let anyone with one know that my 06 model decided to catch fire outside my house yesterday. Damage confined to BCM and loom but could have been worse if I had not been in. The BCM is situated under the steering wheel and controls indicators, alarm and immobiliser so if you are having trouble with any of these it might be prudent to check said BCM

Oh the joys of a Renault, still its doing well having made it to close on 10 years old without the donk going.
Still, if it was a transit it would be rotten, eaten a DMF and lunched a fuel pump by now ;D :y

I'd still have the tranny over the Vauxhall French shite. Our modern trannies seem quite robust TBH, unlike the Vivaros.
I miss my old (1992) tranny I used to have for work, brilliant little thing, and despite its (always fully laden, and then some) weight and poultry 70bhp, went well. In fact, far better than a 2002 Zafira DTi ;D

Seen quite a few of the latest shape Transits in a local bodyshop having their front doors adjusted under warranty.Apparently it's a very common problem on them.

At least they don't fall off like Sprinter/LT side doors did! That was one of many problems; self ejecting rear wheels were also very common.
