Title: Which model Omegas came with LSD + man box?

I'm looking for a manual Omega with an LSD. I would prefer an estate and I'd rather go for an upto '99 model. I guess some of the V6 models may have come with the LSD, is there a way of telling?, can the vin number reveal this option? Many thanks, I'm new here and am thinking of getting an Omega as my daily driver. I'm pleasantly suprised to see what a big following they have here!

LSD,s are quite rare.i think they were normally only fitted to plod cars.
they do come up very occasionally on feebay.
might be best to look for an ex plod as that will be manual as well. :y
btw, welcome to the forum,the knowledge,info and help on here is a seriously good reason to consider buying an omega.

Not all ex-Plod cars are manuals, some are auto's.  :y

The plod autos became more popular as time went on, esp with the 3.2 ones.  There was a problem with the manuals on a 3.2

you didnt say where you come from. in the UK, yep they are rare, in some other countries easier to find.

Thanks for the response guys. I'm in NW London. The link to the car for sale looks interesting, certainly the kind of thing I was looking for, even nicer that what I was looking for in fact!
