Title: lack of sleep
Post by: Richie London on 17 July 2008, 08:50:37
since i had my night off sunday ive had about about 10 hrs sleep. ive done 3x 12 hr shifts, tiled my kitchen floor. spent yesterday morning shopping, day before dentist was in middle of day so couldnt sleep. last night i was so exausted i thought i was gonna collapse. everytime i do night work this happens. does anyone else do nights?? are you like this, sleep less and less. but the worse part is, ive spent 1400 quid since last friday and i havent been out anywhere  :-? :-?

I used to work form 6pm till 4.30am and I loved it, I would be out of bed by 12.30pm and that would leave me the rest of the day :)

Dont work nights but could do. I only get around 3-4 hours sleep a night. Maybe less if I can't nod off. My son seems to have conditioned me. For 2 years he would wake up every hour and a half.

Know the feeling, I work nights and rarely get proper sleep.  A few cat naps through the day amounting to about 4-5 hours sleep a night.  Can make you ill without a doubt.  :(

I work rotating days and nights, which can be a real pain to get used to! Luckily I don't mind it and it means I get loads of time off! :y :y :y :y

I certainly don't get 8 hours, 5-6 more usual for me.
I read recently as you get older you tend to sleep less.
could sleep for 12 hours no problem as a teenager. :y :y
