Just started cam belt change striped down ready to change water pump stage
can you advise  I have a lot of pinky white carossion around water pump and down to crank should I proceed or is there something  
that I need to address while I have it striped down .

sounds like the old water pump was leaking, nothing to worry about.

To me it sounds like old red coolant thats been leaking and built up.

I assume you have red coolant?

? leaking coolant that has crystalised. Sure I have een that somehwere anyway, good luck. Sounds like a good job being done.  :y
