Title: Following on from TD's Good Service Post... LG
Post by: Lazydocker on 20 February 2016, 23:10:20
Not such good service from LG. They had my G3 mobile for 3 weeks in January to repair a fault. Returned it (or not as it turned out!) and same fault 3 days later! Supposed to have been fast tracked the second time it went back but it was still at mine 4 days later!!

Finally they look at it and discover they sent me back someone else's device!! They admit that they've lost mine but, 2 weeks from the first call to report the same fault still being there I am still waiting for "Management" to sign off for a replacement! >:(

I've been pretty patient up until today but today I lost it when I got an email to say they were delivering someone else's handset to me on Tuesday, despite being told last Tuesday that it was being sent to Customer Resolutions! ::)

Be interesting to see what happens on Monday... Even if management sign off first thing Monday morning I won't see the replacement until Wednesday at the earliest! ::)

Feel better for that rant!! Night all.... ;D

Should have got a crApple. At least you can go into a local store where the annoying lemmings dressed in We Love Jobs attire fix them.

:P

Unlike you, Mr Jobs' biggest fanboy, I had no choice... Has to be Android OS for the job management software ::)

As you know, I liked my iPhone but Android has grown on me. It has some very nice features... It's just this LG G3 that has been utter crap. Completely outperformed by a £100 Moto G in most areas IMHO

Update: Still not got it resolved! Had a call at 11am Friday to say they haven't got any G3s so will replace it with a G4. Still no sign of a tracking number!!

They've offered a £50 goodwill gesture but still no closer to getting a phone!! LG just seem to treat the customer with contempt >:(

Pull the pin and get the OnePlus, LD.. I don't think you'll regret it, especially if you need/want the dual SIM  :y

My issue is that it's my property that they have lost >:( And then the contempt that LG as a company have shown is just amazing! It isn't the end of this... I'll be taking it further, potentially as far as the CEO of LG UK! Amazing how much the mind gets focussed when a customer complaint is delivered Special Delivery to your home address on a Saturday morning :-X ;)

Finally had confirmation my new phone has been dispatched! Tracking number and everything!!

I could have driven to Milton Keynes and collected it in the time i have spent on the phone alone, but hey!

Be interesting to see if it turns up tomorrow ::)

You couldn't make it up!

Promised a new phone, upgraded to the G4 because they don't make the G3 any more. Today I took delivery of a reconditioned G4 - body only... No battery or rear cover! >:( >:( >:(

And guess what... It arrived too late to do anything about it today so a replacement won't be shipped until at least Monday! >:( >:(

LG are certainly top of my current sh!tlist!! The CEO isn't going to be happy when my complaint hits his desk :-X ::)

I thought you were sounding prematurely optimistic in your last post. :-X

How can it be so hard? It's a phone, FFS, and with the margins they make on them I can't see why they haven't just thrown a boxed new phone at you to give some customer satisfaction.

That's what was promised. I'm now going to dig my heels in and demand the new phone I was promised ::)

As per my earlier... Freedom of information request will go in for a copy of my complete file, including recordings of calls and the transcripts, from the first contact in January. Then my complaint will go to the CEO both by email and Special Delivery at his home on a Saturday morning :-X ::)

SAR - Subject Access Request under the data protection act 1998.  FOI only applies to public bodies not private companies.   DPA gives you more power anyway :y

I'll get it all, don't worry. They've pissed off the wrong person  ;)

There has also been a Data Protection breach where their courier, DPD, sent me notification of another address - Fortunately it was the office of the Resolutions Team but that is besides the point.
