Title: Omega 2.6 V6 running poor in idle mode
Post by: 67-GZ-SF on 21 February 2016, 20:35:43
Hi guys,

My Omega 2.6 V6 (model 2001) runs very poor in idle-mode when the engine is cold.
Startup is perfect. Engine always starts the first time.
After warming up, idle is much better, but it remains a bit nervous.
Left camshaft-gasket (...English driverseat-side...) leaks a bit of oil. If have no idea what's the situation underneath the camshaft cover. Possibly oil on DIS-module....

I think it's wise first changing the gasket before unscrewing throttle-housing etc.

Error codes 0135 and 0150.

Sugguestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance

Regards, Frits

If some oil goes to spark plug hole the sparks will be poor. Remove the spark plug wires and check they are clean without oil

Remove coil pack from top of cam covers and look in spark plug wells, they could be full of oil if cam cover gaskets are leaking.

Do you have facilities to read trims? If LTFT not 0%, but similar both sides, what is MAF reading?

Logic and ease says check the plug wells, and sort out the gasket anyway  8)
