Title: goods returned

I recently bought goods on ebay £ 35 with free delivery. I never realised I was dealing with a Bulgarian seller. the goods took over 3weeks to arrive & were wrong, so I arranged with the seller to return item. the sellers instructions to me was to return via the cheapest possible way. however I sent it via royal mail post & track. my problem is the Bulgarian courier has up to present has not been able to get a signature & acceptance of returned goods. they are going to try once more, if no joy the goods will be sent back to me. I don't have much hope.

Have you tried to contact ebay and open a case against them  :-\

  no but will do if goods are returned.  I wouldn't mind but I got the same stuff delivered the next day from a uk source 35 miles from me & £12 cheaper.

Similar thing happened to me before Xmas, lots of Comms going backwards and forwards but nothing happening, in the end I opened a Case with eBay and asked for a PayPal refund, only to be told, No Dice, as it went passed the 30 Day period as far as eBay and PayPal rules where concerned.  >:(  :'(

Open that case with ebay NOW. Else you will be out of pocket. The seller knows the rules, and how to get around them.

Hopefully you paid by Paypal, as that helps.

  paid via visa debit , good news ebay looked at my tracking details & already have said they have ruled in my favour and money will be refunded by ebay.   :y

That's good. In future, if you have one, credit card is better, you can apply to them to do a chargeback due to faulty/non-existent goods. Swmbo and I did it when a hotel double charged us and then went bust.

Peculiarly, because your contract of purchase is with the CC company you can claim the money back and then visa/MasterCard/Amex have to go after the seller.

You can do chargebacks on debit cards now. In fact, not a huge difference in protection between the 2.
