I didn't use any sealent when I changed mine a couple of weeks ago, no leaking as yet and don't expect any either, not for a good few miles/years :y

The sealent, if you use it, is only a dab on a couple of internal 90 deg corners & to hold the crescent/D at the back in place
PS I keep seeing a bag of spares in my garage that I promised you eons back :-[

Its OK Andy, I also keep seeing bottles of whisky on the shelves too that I promised you when I borrowed your locking tool :y
Im off to Asda's later so might just collect a bottle for you mate :)
It won't be Johnny Walkers Red though (or black for that matter as it won't last long in our house)
Maybe a bottle of Grouse :y

Theres a lovely bottle of Grouse sat here waiting to be collected by you Andy :y

it's not necessary to use a sealant. but if you want to, the best one, as to me, is Victor Reinz, it's called REINZOSIL. It hardens fast and it’s resistant to high temperatures (200-300 degrees)
