Miggy sold today and will be my last one.. apart from a 6 month period in 2004 when i had a V6 Vectra the omega has been the only car ive owned sibce 2002 .. I will miss it but fancied a change.. call it a mid life thing... i would like to thank those people that have helped me with the issues ive had ove the years namely elite pete and jimbob.. and those people i never met but posted advice to me..
I do have a good pair of elite rear shocks in my shed i initially thought where past their best but i was mistaken as theres 2009 year stickers on them.. happy to let them go to an OOF member for a reasonable price (£50?) Plus postage whatever thats gonna cost...

Does that mean no more bacon / sausage butties at your cafe then :( ;)
-
Not a problem, been good to know you.
Remember, this place will still be a mine of info for the replacement :y

I actually have an 06 plate Astra 1.8 convertable.. hence the "midlife" comment...

So you're now Omegaless, but why leave?Quite a few on here no longer have an Omega and your experiances with your Omega may prove useful to others.Stick around :y

You don't need to go I haven't
This really is a great forum for advice and not just Omega related , you can ask almost anything and someone will have an answer ( not always sensible 😀) but you will get an answer
I have the Insignias for a couple of years and still pop to the High Wycombe meets to catch up and maybe have a little tinker
-
Well ok the i'll hang about in the background then :y... But going back to my first post on this i have a pair of elite self leveler shocks up for grabs.. if i dont log on here as often as i used to and someone is interested then contact either elite pete or jimbob as they have my mobile number.

I too am Omegaless, but inherited my aunts Polo with 35000 on the clock, so have gone and got a Suzuki Hayabusa ( bit more than a mid-life crisis- also has the advantage that the missus won't go on the back :Dhttp://images.omegaowners.com/forum/smf2000/Smileys/oofstd/cheesy.gif

Plenty of 'old men' riding superbikes these days.
My brother owns a 'Busa' and is almost seventy.

Sorry you're now Omegaless, but at least still have a Vauxhall, and more to the point still run a car or two, will have problems occasionally, and good advice to offer.
This forum is many things. Primarily it's a source of priceless advice to folk running Omegas. But it's also a club where people can drop in at any time for a chat, or just to eavesdrop on other conversations, and chip in if they have anything worth saying. There is humour, banter. leg pulling, and occasionally bullying. All are welcome, and members are gentle in their advice when they watch someone doing daft things.
It's like a local pub, coffee shop or club.
Drop in regularly, you'll always be welcome. There are two young lads about to get married. There are some old guys drawing pensions. Some have several Omegas, some have none. They do talk about cars a lot.

Always good on here, my mig went a few months back now replaced with the Merc but still good to chat with fellow "petrol heads ".
-
I haven't had a mig for years but still pop in every week or so, I'll be down your way soon and may pop into the café for a brekky on the way past. Nice place from what I remember when I attended a meet there. Enjoy the Astra :y

I wouldn't bother, it's gone to the wall since Keith and his good lady have left :'(
-
No need to leave, just pop in occasionally and let us know how your mid life crisis is going... ...in if you do offers on hair cuts :P
Lets face it, 3 of the 4 Admins here don't have Omegas, and of the 2 mods, only 1 uses an Omega as a daily driver, with the other having to suffer a Zafira as his missus always nicks the Omega ;D
-
You might get another omega even.
I'm on to my ninth now. :y
