Title: Ignition light constantly on when keys aren't in ignition

Hi all, I'm unsure as to whether this is a common fault but just today I hooked the battery back up and the ignition light is constantly on even though the keys are not in the ignition and whenever the drivers door is opened the power sounder goes off? How can I rectify this from happening

Clean the ignition switch as per the guide in the maintenance section, and report back ;)
