Hi peeps, does anybody know what kind of auto box a 2010 Volvo V70 T6 300 bhp has? Is it a proper one with a torque converter or something different? Thanks

If its anything like most volvos of that era, it will be Geartronic. WHich I think translates as "made of choclate held together with string" ;)

Are there any cars left that are ok, that aren't omegas? ;D
-
If explod, "broken".
-
Yes, I know it's geartronic, but what does that actually mean? Does it have a torque converter, is it an automated manual etc?

Geartronic = slushbox
Powershift = automated manual

Three words...
Don't do it.
OK, that's technically four words, but you get the drift... Especially if explod ::)

If its an ex-plod auto, run for the hills!!!
They were never any good and if driven hard (usually every day as a plod) they'd go in limp home mode regularly after a few brisk journeys.

Trouble with the T6, is that they are auto only and fourwheel drive... nearly bought one, but it had unresolvable electrical issues, so walked away and bought the 4x4 Insignia Estate instead.

They're nowhere near as reliable as idiots in pubs will have you believe actually. Every car has it's problems including the rusty old omegas sadly.
