Title: Will it live?
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 22 July 2008, 00:00:28
I have a Very good halfrauds power pack / inverter, it was a Christmas pressie,

but I've just reaslied that I've left it in a dischaged state since about February  :'(

Have I goosed it, or is there a chance it will hold a charge again?

Need to find the charger  ::)

Mine (think its a Maplins one) is quite old, and I've left it in a nearly flat condition a few times for long periods.  Still has the power to start a car

It should take a charge OK, I would think.  No harm in giving it a go, is there??

What do you think of this James, I recently bought one and too it back for replacement to find the new one is the same, it will not start a flat battery, there has to be some power in the battery. :o Stupid thing and no warning of that on the box. :(

True, but in fairness, it (was) is a powerful thing otherwise!

I have a profesional powerdome. Bought it from bedford auction a few months ago for a tenner. Nearly discharged when i got it. Charged up ok and have used it to run lights in garden during BBQ's and also start the Honda up in my garage. Keep forgetting to run the Honda once a week and when i do the battery is almost flat. It should be ok and hold charge. It's not that old.
