Title: irmscher sportstars
Post by: pauls on 25 April 2016, 14:48:20
I have just picked up a set of these and noticed a lot of old glue marks from the wheel weights. Any recommended way of safely removing this. I was thinking of petrol and a bit of hard plastic.

Soften the glue with acetone and scrape the worst off with a plastic scraper. Gentle rubbing with some very fine scotchbrite and some more acetone will remove the rest.

Omega uses ET30 Sportstars.

They are quite soft, thought not as bad as MFL MV6 ones, so be prepare for regular refurbs given current road conditions  >:(

Do they buckle easily?

The v70 would dent it's rims on the wrong tyre height, quite sad really

Never seen one buckle (or an MFL MV6 wheel buckle for that matter either). But they do get flatspots quite easily if you're unable to avoid broken road surfaces at speed.
