Evening all,
started the 2003 2.2 petrol estate automatic this evening and it stalled.
tried it again and it started but engine seemed to be 'hunting' and would not tick over without a little throttle.
After a somewhat startling and erratic drive home in the traffic I have managed to do the pedal trick (thank you OOF) and have the following codes
0340
0170
1555
1525
1550
1700
This car runs lovely normally, but has had the eml light on a few times and I was told on here that I need a new cam sensor.
Am I right in thinking that the above codes all point directly or indirectly to the same problem?
Any advice gratefully received.

0340 CAMSHAFT SENSOR known issue
0170 LEAN/RICH EXHAUST not surprising due to hiccup
1555 DUBIOUS THROTTLE POSITION as above
1525 LIMP MODE as above
1550 THROTTLE REDUCED POWER as above
1700 CHECK GEARBOX confirmation of Camshaft sensor playing silly buggers

Thank you Al, I dont mind driving it in limp mode but that run home was not nice and I wont be going anywhere in it now till you mend it.
See you then (fingers crossed)

Turning it off and on again should temporarily cure the LIMP mode, but it's upto you if you chance it or not :y
