Saw a Fiesta van today.On the back door was a sticker which read "Driven properly-Not polluting?"Driven properly or not it was a diesel engine van so of course it's polluting!Ok it wasn't belching out clouds of black smoke or anything,but how can any fossil fuelled vehicle claim to be non-polluting?

Baza, I am astonished to read that you, as an intelligent man, are taken in by the Government propagada and myth that CO2 is the enemy. Cars, in any engine type, do not pollute to any significant extent - and that includes from lead in petrol!
I'm sure that REALLY, you know differently? I won't go into the real culprit of global warming, because I reckon that you know it already, but if you sincerely believe that CO2 is the villain, let me just say that more than 98% of CO2 generation is from a single source - US, when we breathe.
Save the planet by removing a few people.....I have MY list and I bet you have yours, too!

Not strictly true, but when you include all breathing animals, with a major emphasis on mammals, then it certainly does become correct .. :)

Although the soot produced in diesel combustion is rather nasty ;)
