Hi guys, about to replace the leather gaiters which I obtained free from a member. Unfortunately they are not suitable as the leather is rather thick, and the already stitched design is not right, particularly for the handbrake. Can anyone recommend a supplier of good quality OE style gaiters? :y :y :y

I bought these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLACK-STITCH-FITS-VAUXHALL-OPEL-OMEGA-B-GEAR-COVER-GAITER-LEATHER-/391198529741?hash=item5b153fd8cd (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLACK-STITCH-FITS-VAUXHALL-OPEL-OMEGA-B-GEAR-COVER-GAITER-LEATHER-/391198529741?hash=item5b153fd8cd)
the seams for the gear lever need trimming slightly where they stretch around the plastic moulding before you glue them in place. This takes seconds with a razor blade. The handbrake one just glues straight on.

The originals are stitched in place at the top(you have to cut them off); these use a cabletie which isn't brilliant. But that is easily replaced with cord if you can be bothered.
The leather is far better quality than original, and they smarten up the interior for about 20 minutes 'work.'

Got mine originals re-covered in proper leather by a local automotive trimming specialist :y
They did a great job and superb match :y

It cost a bit more to get the re-covered compared to the 'Flea Bay' ones (which I did consider at first), but quality leather and no cheap PU leather stuff (which sometimes is not that cheap !).
The place I went to also trim Aston Martins in their spare time and others nice cars, so I dream I have an off-cut from something exotic in there in my centre console ;D

What sort of price?

Cant remember now as was a bit ago, but was about a tenner more than a decent flea bay one. I concluded that a custom one was worth it as I plan on keeping the car.
