Title: Low coolant warning

When I start 'low coolant' warning message comes up. Coolant level in expansion tank is OK. Clues? Thanks.  :y

sensor in the tank is fubar'd ......  ;) You can either short out the wiring underneath the tank to fool the car or a new tank is required  :y

Give the float a wiggle, sometimes sticks  :y

Check the float hasn't come off the spine.

If its in place and moves OK, it may be dry joint on sensor, but they are a bugger to remove without breaking.

As Tunnie says, try ticking it. One of my three comes up with that message, and a quick wiggling in the expansion tank cures it for a while :y Obviously, I should by a new tank, but I have deep pockets and short arms :y
