Title: oil with GM stand. or with low saps

please nead advice betveen oils, best for Omega with Y26SE:

1. 5w30, acae A3/B4-10, API SL/CF, GM-LL-A-025
2. 5w40, acae A3/B4-04, API SN/CF, low saps
3. 5w30, acae A5/B5-12, API SN/CF, mid saps

You don't need low saps, as your car doesn't have a particulate filter.


But really, if it meets or exceeds the original spec, any oil will do.

I got a 3.2 several years ago which had had VX 10/40 s/synthetic on all previous services.  It was a sweet engine and I used VX 5/30 fully synthetic when I serviced it. I noticied later that I had signs of small oil seepage in places. I drained the 5/30's and replaced it with the 10/40's and it has been fine ever since. I would stick to using the same grade that has been in previously. If changed every 12 months then it shouldnt be a problem.
A VX tech friend told me he had the same issue with a 'foreigner' that he did - used VX 5/30 oil on a vehicle that had previously used 10/40 and it pi$$ed out ( his description!).

Use 5/30 on my 3.2. No problems  :)

Used 0W/40 for about 30,000 in the 3.0 moved on to another grade now.
