Mine has gone faulty on none Omega. It isn't the fuse as the other items on the fuse are still working including the radio.
How do they come out please? Is it just a case of carefully prising it out from its hole.

front or rear?
With both you really need the trim out complete in order to get behind to squeeze in tabs and pry out. At that point you start to think it might be easier, now the trim and 12v socket is out, to just swap the whole thing over, trim piece and 12v outlet all-in-one.

I realise this isn't answering the question, but are you sure about this? I thought the Ciggy lighter fuses were big 15/25A things and not usually shared with other components?
The one's ive seen have metal/plastic fins on them that spring outwards after you've pused them into the hole in the dash. To remove, you need to get behind them and squeeze the fins inwards at the same time as withdrawing the ciggy lighter.
However I suspect it varies car to car.

It isn't on an Omega.
Looking at it it looks as though it has fins so I will get my fingers behind on Sunday and see if I can squeeze the fins and pop it out. Thanks

Sorry mate, read the OP as 'one' Omega, assuming 'none' was a typo. :(
