Title: Whose engine?

I read the other day that the 2.7HDI engine as used in the Citroen C6 is the same engine as used by Jaguar in the 2.7D XF[presumably also the 2.7TDVI XJ] so whose engine was it?I can't really see Citroen using someone elses engine,but did they or did jaguar get theirs from Citroen as Volvo,Ford BMW and probably others do?

Indeed, Ford/Pug joint development.  JLR further refined it once Pug pulled out.
