More is less ;) top slice could easily have been final :-X

That said, the specialist who did the stitching did a proper job undoing it too :y

Disc cutters are near the top of the list of power tools that can kill you. Spinning at 32,000 rpm means they store a lot of potential energy while they lurk, waiting for that intimate meeting with a Darwin candidate. :o :o :o

A few more weeks on your face repair then a bit of Tcut should polish out any remaining scarring. ::) ::) ::)

It could have been much, much worse, so good to see you are still pretty much in one piece and ready to fight another day. :y :y :y

You have my sympathy, Al, it can't be easy being so ugly.   ;D

I wouldn't bother doing the lottery for few months ...  methinks you have used up your allocation of "good luck" for some while ... that could have been so much worse ...

Glad to see a full recovery looks under way  :y :y

Phew! Glad you're OK Al. I'm sure you are are a cautious individual, but we all take the odd risk.
In 1999 I was changing a 40" guillotine blade (I'm a printer). It's a job I had done a hundred times before, but this time I managed to drop it on my left thigh. It made a huge gash, blood, tendons, etc., I was working alone, and presumed I would die. The leg had gone rigid, I was still standing up, incredibly I managed to strut 3 yards to a phone before I fell over. I rang 999, A&E, surgery, recovery.

I worked with a chap once who had a massive scar that went from his belly button all up his front, up his neck and the side of his face.  It was caused by a 9" angle grinder that 'kicked back' when he started it, dug into his stomach and ploughed a nice furrow all the way to his head, narrowly missing his jugular on the way!!  :o

Now that was lucky :o mind you, recovery must have been horrible after that...

Interestingly, I was given the same advice for the chisel scar under my eyebrow.

Interestingly isn't the right word: wrongly is more accurate ;D
