Rear end of my 3.2 elite looks like its sitting too high. I measured from the floor to the wheelarch and it measures 685mm either side.
Iirc this is about 25mm high ?
Pulled the air pipes of the shocks and released air, made no difference. Checked that pump runs by popping arm off sensor and raising it, which caused the pump to kick in.
Lowering the sensor arm as low as it will go, doesn't cause shocks to lower. Should it ? If not, what does ?
Seem to remember something about a pressure release valve on the pump ? Could that be the cause ?
Tia. :)

Thinking further about this. If I disconnect the airlines from the shocks and let the air out, then the problem cant be related to the S/L system ? Something must be holding the car up ? Both shocks stuck for some reason - unlikely ?
Wrong springs fitted - seems more likely ? Springs look like they may be newish. May have to pop a wheel of tomorrow and look for ID code. :-\

If you pull the airline off and release the pressure the suspension SHOULD drop to the very lowest position .... I was doing this weekly until I changed the faulty pump !!! IF yours stays high then there is something else holding it up .. not the shocks !!

Thanks, that confirms my line of thinking. I think the springs need close inspection. :y

Possibly estate ones :-\
That said, 670- 675mm or there abouts seems to ring a bell...

Looks like the remains of a KYB logo ? I think I will change the springs in the near future.

The KYB I just removed from my saloon tapered for the last coil and a half, I can't tell if yours have from the pic. :y

I didn't notice tbh. :D.......If I have the time and energy, I might whip a wheel off again over the weekend and take a look. :y
Who is the recommended supplier for rear springs these days ? :-\

Just fitted Sachs to mine, seem OK, non-tapered. :y

Without sounding thick is the self levelling suspension only on estates?
