Title: Tech 2?
Post by: GmasterT on 07 June 2016, 23:48:20
Who's got a tech 2 near Cambridge? I can not for the life of me work out why the air con isn't working and same with the cruise control
Slight urgency as its been decided tonight I'm taking this omega to lemans again next week!

Many thanks :)

Not sure if Serek still has one?

But it won't help with A/C....

Nope, unless hes gone out and bought another one since we spoke.

Humbucker has one ;)

But, as said, unlikely to be needed for AC unless you know the panel is faulty...

It's to see if the ac pressure sensor is working as that's what I suspect

This is just a simple switch, so easy to diagnose with a multimeter.

A Tech 2 won't help, as no systems it interrogates are involved in this aspect of the AC.

I
1st check it has gas.,
If pressure switch is dead, it will need a regas any way,as when its removed, gas all escapes.

Yeah, I'd got that far ;p haha hence why I wanted to plug in and try and get some talk from the sensor

The sensor is just a double switch, it disconnects the air con compressor below a certain pressure in the system, and brings on extra fans above another pressure. Nothing to talk to!

So any way to test if it's working?

A meter and a circuit diagram ;)
