Hello everbody
I have omega v6 3.2 engine to be replaced.
I found a cadilac cts 3.2v6 engine with all its peripheral (air compressor, electric cables, electric denmo, computer coils, throttle, etc) and like to
Use it in place of my engine.
My question is what are the parts that are not compatiple or doesn't fit with the omega?
Best regards

I think it's the same engine,
If so you would need to undress both engines, and re-fit the omega engine ancillaries onto the cts.
-
It certainly looks to be the same, although the airbox and electronics are clearly different.
Which makes fitting your car's induction, wiring etc a sensible idea.
What is wrong with the current engine, as they do suffer from bad diagnosis; blown headgaskets rather than the much likely knackered oilcooler for instance.

Isn't the Cadilac one down on power over the Euro one. :-\
-
The original engine suffers from unresolved misfire problem, the only possible solution available to me was to replace it with cts engine or the 2.6 v6 omega
-
Bit drastic to change an engine based on a misfire :o :-\

I think you're correct re the American being down on power Zirk.I'm sure I read it somewhere that the engine was detuned slightly for the Yanks.Shades of Triumph TR6 perhaps?

Probably got 2.6 cams in then :) or ecu modified ;)

Possibly, think its also lower Compression as well.

Ecu mod, but the CTS is heavier too, which won't help the performance.
To the OP, if 2.6 is readily available, try swapping the loom foir a known good one ;)
