Just trying to gauge peoples thoughts on where they are with the referendum. Not looking for which way you are voting Like tonight there is a two hour debate with 3 from each side and audience questions. I was interested until I saw it was 2 hours.
Do you feel you are getting enough facts, too many? Too much coverage? Not enough?
-
Ive had a lifelong interest in politics and have long wished for this referendum, but Im now sick & tired of it on TV etc. Most of the talk is utter bilge and jangles the nerves anyway.. I just want it to be over with tbh.
-
Luckily I don't have a TV so have been spared most of it.
-
Always known how I will be voting."Facts" it seems to me are few and far between from both sides, with each side claiming the "facts" quoted by the other side are a load of dangleberries,so fed up of it in that way.
-
Sick to death of it. IMHO it's been handled really badly by both sides.
I think probably 70%-80% of people who will vote had made their mind up pretty quick, and mostly based on their life experience up to that point. For example, all the promised flowers and unicorns in the world aren't going to get Cornish fishermen to vote remain.
By bandying about ridiculous "facts" and made up figures, both sides are actually alienating the undecideds, the very people who will swing it one way or the other.
Sadly though, in or out this won't end on June 24th. Some knob head will cry about it being a fix (whichever way it goes) and we'll have months of wrangling and whinging.
Yeah, I'm pretty sick of it :P.

I thought we elected people and employ the best technical advisors to provide information to decide these things for us?

That's how it's supposed to work.
But decades of professional politicians who are failed lawyers or too useless to employ as a cleaner in the family business have made a mockery of that.

Yes. Its boring, nonsensical and a waste of everyones time.
If brexit wins then expect a life of the news being dominated by news of trade agreements, visa agreements etc.
Just go to other small countries. The tv is full of the latest trade deal with this or that. Because you are at ground zero, the bottom floor. Everything you take for granted now has to be discussed and negotiated.
There is a reason eurocrats are faceless. They are dealing with this dross for us.
Welcome to the future of beimg a medium country with no trade area deals in a globalised world.
Yes i am voting remain. I dont take advice about my economic welfare from a gameshow host with a questionable ability to tell the truth. Boris.

Sick of it, tempted to wipe my arse with the ballot form and post it in the ballot box as a protest
