as mentioned before my cdx touring was fitted with a pair of 245x50x16s a while back,
ive been to price up another pair but was offered some goodyear 255x50x16s for a bargain price,
ive also bought some 5mm spacers and longer studs which will be fitted too,
i,m still toying with the idea of a twin sidepipe exhaust system and satin black alloys,
any thoughts???

Can't really comment on the tyres, but black alloys I can. I used to love the look of black alloys until about 2 weeks ago, while waiting at some traffic lights a knackered old mk3 Cavalier came by with black steel wheels and no hub caps, ok there not to bothered about the old car I thought, then 2 cars later a boy racer went past with black alloys, and I had to do a double take look because when the car is moving it looked just like dodgy cavalier steel wheels.
Now these black alloys may look great in the car park but can look real tatty when moving.
Just my useless opinion.

i know what you mean although most of my 15 (or so) cars have had black alloys,
maybe better in anthrasite or gunmetal on a big luxury barge, a bit more classy,
i just like being different :y

just had the tyres and 5mm spacers fitted today,
ive moved the 245s to the front and put the fat 255s on the rear,
they are "old stock" goodyear eagle ZR 50s which i found out were made for the back of a 911,
i checked the overall diameter on a tyre calcuator and they are only 1% bigger than the standard 225s,
looks great and sticks like ---- :y
