Title: Duke of Westminster . . .
Post by: Mister Rog on 09 August 2016, 22:56:02
Duke of Westiminster . . . huge property owner and multi squilionaire. Owned much of posh London

So, ok what about him ? I doubt that anyone here is a friend, relative, neighbour, or boozing buddy

But, he's kicked it at 64. So ? lots of blokes kick it much younger. BUT, well it kinda make one aware of mortality.

On the good side. He was a multi squilionaire, but dead. I'm not a multi squilionaire, and alive  YAY. Result  :y

On the bad side. What's around the corner. Is the Grim Reaper waiting to catch me out ?  :-\

Doubt it.  Fellas like that have it all sorted so they don't pay any taxes.  ;)

I met him in 96 when he opened the drug detox unit I worked at, (he had a history of being quite fond of the sauce himself), was a nice enough chap as I recall and came with quite a security team as he was being stalked by a crazy woman.

I wouldn't say friends as such, but used to be on first name terms with him back in the 90,s when I worked on the estate, a really nice down to earth bloke who would always give you time and one of his B&H if you wanted one!
it all changed when his (now Duke of Westminster)son arrived on the scene and an alleged kidnap threat emerged, security went ballistic everything got gated and you couldn't get anywhere near him from then on.
my son still works there.
