Thought you might like this story.

My 89 year old Dads name is J.W. surname.. So he gets the bus into Scarborough and hobbles along to the bank to pay a cheque in. Sorry can't accept it as it is in the name of J. surname. Have you got a passport or driving licence with you? No. Bit of a stand off before a manager was called. OK we will accept it but can you bring your passport in next week.

Gets home and there is a letter from.... Santander addressed to Mr J surname.

With a surname like that is it any wonder they were confused!  ::)  ;D
