My Jag had a new windscreen fitted by Autoglass in 2014.
The work was messy and black adhesive partially covers the VIN number at the bottom of the screen........making it unreadable.
I have contacted Autoglass who tell me that as I am not the owner who had the screen fitted they are not responsible. So much for their lifetime guarantee.
Would I be right in thinking that it is illegal to cover the VIN in this way, and that Autoglass are responsible?
I get the feeling that the police would not be happy with an obscured VIN number.

Complain to the dealer you bought it from? They should have made sure it was 100% before selling surely.

Yes. The car is excellent but there one or two minor things I want them to look at. I shall certainly mention it.

Can be safer and stronger than a new factory car. E.g. swb Audi Quattro, 6r4, eggenbeger cosworth to name a few.
